Thornebrook Chili Cook-off 2005
Come join us on Saturday, March 12, 2005, for the Great North Florida District Chili Cook-Off. This event will be an official International Chili Society (ICS) red chili cook-off. This event will be an official International Chili Society Red Chili Cook-off with the First Place winner being guaranteed a seat in the Last Chance Cook-Off in Fall 2005 with a chance to advance to the World Championship Finals the following week. We will also include chili and salsa cooks who would like to cook for fun, notoriety, and prizes. So we are looking for the best chili and salsa cooks in North Central Florida. The fun cook-off categories include: regular chili, vegetarian chili, and salsa.
We are also inviting all Fire Houses in Gainesville and Alachua County to compete for the title of Best Firehouse Chili in Alachua County for 2005. We would like to invite the local restaurants to compete in a regional ingredient chili for the best regional chili in North Central Florida. And those of you in the media - do you think you do better chili than other personalities? You are welcome to try!
